One week of skating in August of 2008: Saturday

October 13th, 2008

Well, sorry for not updating so long, but I am busy writing my PHD Thesis, which has to be done by the end of the year, and unfortunatly it is not going so fast as I thought, well that´s another story so lets get to some skating.

I had one week of vacation, which I spent home writing on the thesis and in the afternoon getting out sktaing. So the week was from August to August 21st.

On Saturday, there were some people supposed to come from Bayreuth, but somehow they partied too long, so they kinda missed the train, so only Jens Küfner, Nico and Peter from Erlangen arrived arround 12pm at the train station. Jens was a bit pissed, cause the others did not come to the train, so he just picked up the other 2 and they arrived on time. Then Daniel Prell and Hannes arrived from Augsburg and we left for the first spot, which was the Curbs at the Schrannenhalle. I all started very slow, and the funny thing was, that I met some guy (who ist way in his 50ies), whom I met 7 years ago when I started to skate and have not seen for 5 years or so. Well I placed some flashes and Daniel was motivated and ripped some nice tricks and line (sorry, as it has already been some weeks I don´t remember much). Jens tried som stuff, but he was really tired. A little later, Nico and Lukas arrived and shortly after that Matze Ogger. Also Milla joined (who just left for Australia for 8 month).

After some time we wanted to spot-change but somehow the S-Bahn schedule was messed up, due to construction, which meant we went into one driection, then into the other and took the wrong train and ended up on Heimeranplatz. So while waiting we decided to skate some rail nearby, OK Daniel was the only one that did it. One 50-50 and one nice rocket fishy.

So after some clueless driving aound we finally landed at the Feldkirchen kink-rail. The wooden board was gone, so some went off to organize a new one. In the meantime i set up my flashes and stuff. It is not so easy to light this place, especially when the sun is shining. Nico had to be my light-test- victim ;) .

And after a while, he nailed a very nice sweatstance.

Jens did some nice tricks too and he nearly nailed a toposoul over the kink topsoul (just missed the landing)

Also, even beeing really dead he did some basic tricks, like sweaty, top acid or topporn

Daniel, beeing Daniel just did  a little skating but nailed nearly everything first try: Makio, top soul, soul over kink soul:

After that, we went to Heimstetten, which some of you will probaly know from GH-Tours or some clips from Munich. It has a very long, not very steep rail with minor kinks and a flat rail. Only the flat-rail was skatet, but firts, some plants had to be removed. You had to have great speed to get it all though. Ogger was the first one, to do it, shortyl after that Daniel had it too.

After that, we called it a day and went to the main train statsion to pic up some locked up stuff. We went for a Pizza and the left to go to my place, where we had some nice beer, showers and saw some clips on Daniels laptop. And finally some sleep :)

The next day I had to go to my parents, and the others met up with the others to go skate again and Matty Wacky for getting some clips.

Saturday Session with Bayreuth visitors and a special visitor

August 25th, 2008

OK I was kinda lazy and not much time for writing something. So we all met on Saturday, July 26th at the main train station. Alex Rudolf brought some friends from Bayreuth, Jens Kuefner and Marian (who does skate designs for Powerslide). Also Marc Heuss was with us, filming for his new DVD, which is supposed to be a great one. He also brought a huge backpack (the special visitor), which he uses for his film.

First spot were some nice little curbs (Registratur curbs) where everyone had a nice little session. As there was not a good perspective I took no pictures. After that we went to a spot called “dickes grünes Rail” (thick green rail), which I tried a long time ago with soul and fell (OK it was the first street rail ever, not a good one for trying first). Milla tried for alomst 2 hours a front torque, but it never got through. Gotti tried some switchup, which did not work unfortunatly and Alex did various tricks. Most he got fast, but most time took the BS Savannah. Jens was afraid to skate, cause of his cast on his left hand. After this session I had to leave and the rest wetn to some skatepark, where Basti Hofer took some nice pics.
